Provides 3 Phase Protective Action
The nutrient-rich, High-ORAC ingredients in Greens Plus provide protection from environmental radiation through 3 important actions: Nutrient Saturation, Free Radical Neutralization and Heavy Metal Chelation.
1. Nutrient Saturation
Radioactive isotopes, like those released from the nuclear disaster at Fukushima, wreak havoc on the human body by taking the place of essential trace minerals, such as iodine and selenium, which are utilized by internal organs and endocrine glands in normal metabolic functions. Once inside cells, these radioactive isotopes damage RNA and DNA and in turn create other mutated cells. This process is intensified in the presence of trace mineral deficiencies.
Sea vegetables, such as Spirulina, Chlorella, and Nova Scotia Dulse deliver an abundant supply of organic, non-radioactive trace minerals that saturate healthy cells, correcting deficiencies and preventing radioactive forms such as iodine-131 from being absorbed.
2. Free Radical Neutralization
Radioactive isotopes also produce a chain reaction of free radicals that further damage cell functions and internal organs. Plants produce their own antioxidants to protect themselves from ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollution. These protective benefits are in turn transferred to humans who consume them.
Greens Plus contains a full spectrum of antioxidants, including Carotenoids from D. Salina, Resveratrol from Red Wine Grapes, EGCG from Green Tea extract, Vitamin C from Camu Berries and 100% natural Vitamin E.
3. Heavy Metal Chelation
Due their atomic weight and molecular density, radioactive isotopes are considered heavy metals which accumalate and cause central nervous system toxicity. Studies have shown that dietary fiber, in the form of Apple Pectin, Chlorophyll from Chlorella, and Curcuminoids from Turmeric, naturally chelate or bond to radioactive heavy metals, prevent accumulation and help remove them from the body.
